KITESURFING TRIP IN SICILY: 3 EASY STEPS TO PLAN YOUR KITE HOLIDAYS IN LO STAGNONE
You’d like to organize your kite holidays in Sicily, but you don’t know how to proceed?
We will help you to plan it step by step.
1. CHOOSE YOUR DATES AND CHECK FLIGHTS
We are in Sicily all season long, from end of April to end of October, so the dates of your stay may depend entirely on your availability and plane tickets dates.
As for flights – Ryanair flies to us regularly, landing either in Trapani or Palermo (and not just Ryanair).
Trapani airport is 6 km from the spot, Palermo airport is an hour away from us.
2. ACCOMMODATION
You can find accommodation on your own, or benefit from our insight (our accommodation base).
Tell us:
– your dates (flight dates, or at least possible flight dates),
– number of people
– and expectations, if you have precise ones (such as preferred type of accommodation, or must be better standard, or you’re looking for something cheaper, strong internet for remote work etc),
and we will suggest you some options just by the spot. You can take or leave it, of course.
Note: if you book accommodation on your own, pay attention to the location, because some places describe their location as by the spot, and then you might actually need a car to make it to the spot (Kite Lab is located in the very centre of Lo Stagnone kite spot, so all the accommodations by the spot are close to the school).
Whether you have a car or not, we always advise considering places just by the spot, so without the need of driving back and forth, especially if the holidays are indeed kite holidays. Firstly because the wind doesn’t always start and stop as it’s planned in the wind forecast, and sometimes we need to wait. It’s nicer to be able to wait on standby in the accommodation, instead of having to wait on the spot. Secondly, if there are more people in the group taking lessons or renting, someone is always waiting for the others. And in the end, it’s nice to have own shower, dry clothes or fridge just next by the spot.
If you plan to have a car, it will be useful anyway – for trips, restaurants, shopping etc.
When suggesting specific places, we give a list of available places, the exact price for a given date (obtained directly from the owner – we don’t impose any margins), there are also descriptions and photos, so it’s easy to choose.

We put our students in the calendar (in order to manage our capacity), so the most important information we need is the date of stay and number of people willing to take lessons or just to rent the equipment.
You don’t have to specify how many hours you’d like to spend with the instructor or for how many days you’d like to rent equipment. It turns out during your stay, depending on the wind and your personal preferences.
That is why we pursue a policy: you pay only for what you did, at the end of your stay.
The lesson price list / rental price list is the reference point when counting the final price.
